anything that has cheese on it, in it, or both and i’m eating it. deep fry it and it’s even better. but eating deep fried cheesy foods every day probably isn’t the best of ideas. well, here’s a healthier version of the deep fried mozzarella cheese stick…and it’s just as tasty.
skinny mozzarella cheese sticks
- wonton wrappers
- mozzarella cheese sticks*
- olive oil
- marinara sauce, for dipping
preheat oven to 400° degrees.
line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
place a cheese stick 1 inch from the margin of a wonton wrapper.
*i used pepper jack cheese sticks for a bit of a kick.
