skinny sticks

anything that has cheese on it, in it, or both and i’m eating it. deep fry it and it’s even better. but eating deep fried cheesy foods every day probably isn’t the best of ideas. well, here’s a healthier version of the deep fried mozzarella cheese stick…and it’s just as tasty.

skinny mozzarella cheese sticks

ingredients

  • wonton wrappers
  • mozzarella cheese sticks*
  • olive oil
  • marinara sauce, for dipping

directions
preheat oven to 400° degrees.
line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
place a cheese stick 1 inch from the margin of a wonton wrapper.

fold the sides in and roll up as tightly as possible.

place seam side down on baking sheet. repeat.

brush tops with olive oil.
bake for 10 minutes.
flip sticks and brush tops with olive oil.
bake for 6 additional minutes or until golden brown.
serve immediately with marinara sauce and enjoy!
