headbands are a life saver for bad hair days. or rainy days. or i’m running late days. or days when you are just plain lazy.
- 1/2 yard knit fabric
- matching thread
- rotary cutter and mat
cut two 4 in. x 20 in. strips out of the knit fabric.
fold each strip in half (with right sides facing each other) and sew down the long side of the raw edges. flip right side out. you will have two “tubes”.
lay “tubes” (seams facing each other) in the shape of a “+”.
fold “tubes” over so that they are linked together.
wrap the linked tubes around your head and place a pin in the fabric where you want your head band to end. line up all raw edges and sew together where you placed the pin. cut off any excess.
flip seam to the inside and wear!
