milk & cookies

i was hungry for something sweet the other night but I didn’t have anything and i didn’t want to go anywhere…plus we were in the middle of a snow storm. but i did have chocolate chips and all the basic ingredients to make cookies. so cookies it was! i saw this recipe on pinterest a few weeks ago where you use bisquick instead of flour. it looked pretty easy (few ingredients and few directions is my kind of recipe) so i decided to make them. and they were yummy! the biquick made them have the perfect consistency and thickness.

bisquick chocolate chip cookies
ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 3/4 cups bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or more if you love chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

directions
preheat oven to 375°.
in large bowl, mix butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg.
stir in bisquick mix, chocolate chips, and nuts.
roll dough into 1inch balls. then place 2inches apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
remove from cookie sheet to a cooling rack.
serve warm with a tall glass of milk and enjoy!
