every year for christmas my family does a pitch-in brunch. this year i made these cream cheese sausage balls made with bisquick mix. and they were a big hit! i served them with hot maple syrup drizzled over the the top. they tasted like sausage and pancakes all rolled into a bite sized ball. and the cream kept the sausage moist. yum!

cream cheese sausage balls

ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage, uncooked*
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups bisquick
  • salt and pepper to taste

*note: another option for these is to use hot sausage and serve as an appetizer at a dinner party or as finger food at tailgating.

directions
preheat oven to 400°.
mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
roll mixture into 1-inch balls.

bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned.
 serve for brunch with mimosas and enjoy!
