spaghetti bread


spaghetti and garlic bread. what’s better? stuffing one into the other of course!   

braided spaghetti bread


  • 1 loaf bread dough
  • 6 oz spaghetti
  • 1 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1/2 lb. italian sausage
  • 1 egg white
  • garlic powder
  • parsley flakes


peheat oven to 350º.

cook spaghetti until al dente. drain and set aside.

cook italian sausage until browned. drain.

mix spaghetti sauce and italian sausage together. set aside.

lightly spray counter with non-stick cooking spray or use parchment paper

roll dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle.


place spaghetti lengthwise down the center of dough.


top the spaghetti with the sauce mixture and then the mozzarella cheese cubes.


make cuts 1 ½-inches apart on the long sides of the dough almost to the filling.


begin braid by folding top and bottom strips toward filling. then braid strips left over right, right over left, and so on. finish by pulling last strip over and tucking under braid.


brush with egg white and sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley flakes.


place braid on a large baking sheet and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.


cool slightly and slice to serve. enjoy!
