salsa chicken


This has to be one of my favorite recipes. I got it from my sister who got it from a coworker who got it from…okay, so it’s a recipe that has been around. And now I’m passing it on to you! It’s sooooo easy and versatile. It can be used in tacos, nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, over rice, or even just by itself. The chicken is so moist and tender. It’s amazing! Another reason I love this recipe is I can start it in the morning and it is done by the time I get home from work. This time around I used it in enchiladas.


  • 3-4 frozen chicken breast
  • 1 large jar salsa
  • crock pot


Place frozen chicken breast (yes, frozen chicken) in the crock pot.


Pour salsa over chicken to cover. (I use 3/4 of the jar for three breast and use the other 1/4 for garnish.)


Turn crock pot on high and cook for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.


Once the chicken is done it will shred perfectly with two forks.


Now add to your dish of choice and enjoy!
